So good it will make you wanna slap yo mama!

(record scratch..... ) Ok.... so this isn't exactly what your happy family outing should look like.... physical violence should never be the answer...slapping your mama is not the way to honor her but it was so dang good I couldn't help myself!

Alright, you are wondering what in the world this is about.... Mom, Dad, and I were at home in Statesboro unpacking and vinyl laying (more on that in a later post!) needing a fun day and decided to take a trip to Savannah for the day where we visited it's most famous present day resident... Paula Deen! We got to town, found the city market and headed to put our name on the list at her restaurant The Lady and Sons.

After an hour wait (at lunch on a Tuesday) we were sent up the elevator to the 3rd floor dining room where happiness awaited us! The tea is perfect right down to the sprig of mint in the glass! You can order off a menu or do a country buffet, we elected to do the buffet....

This is of course before I knew what would hit me... I am sitting calmly with my perfect tea waiting to savor every bite of this infamous food!

1) Biscuits.... WOW!! SO GOOD! (ps: to my left you will notice a pancake as well... you get both and they are unlimited!)

2) Fried Chicken... WOW!! LITERALLY BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES!

3) Banana pudding and gooey butter cake...... WOW!! I'M STUFFED BUT THIS DESSERT IS SO GOOD I HAVE TO EAT IT!

Needless to say, we needed some Paula Deen store time to work off all that amazing food! Now, if you ever have frying pans that you want to throw out, here is a tip: Make them into a gate!

Mom felt right at home like we had been invited!

Dad... being forced to take yet another picture! But we couldn't leave without snapping one with the "Lady" herself!

What perfect food and a great day! PS: I know I have been slacking on the posting.... I have been documenting what has been going on in pictures so know it has just taken a while to get our house in order so I can justify doing more than facebook status updates! Before and afters on the house in our next adventure in the Boro!

Yummm. Looks like y'all had a great time! We couldn't stand in line long enough to go to Lady and Sons, but we went to Uncle Bubba's...whew girl...so good. I recommend it for your next get away trip.
Can't wait to see your house pics.
